Our Telehealth program allows the patient to speak to a U.S. Board-Certified Physician, on the phone, or by video through a secure web portal to obtain non-emergency medical attention and prescriptions. A prognosis is provided over the phone; prescriptions are called-in or faxed to the local pharmacy. This greatly differs from the traditional environment which requires patients to have an appointment with their physician, travel to the office, and sit through their appointment to obtain a prognosis, pay a co-pay or an office visit fee, take their prescriptions to their local pharmacy and finally wait for their prescriptions to be processed and filled. The traditional process is more difficult when a patient is elderly, handicapped, a child, or an infant.

Telehealth increases access to quality care, and it can be used as an innovative tool to reduce costly medical interventions, such as emergency room utilization and length of hospital stay. According to data collected, if the expansion of telehealth could reduce the interventions referenced above by just 30%, there would be significant cost-savings in national healthcare. In addition to these savings, telehealth provides economic development opportunities for job creation in the telecommunications and healthcare sectors and may extend career-life for aging healthcare practitioners.

Telehealth has been successfully implemented across several health disciplines and medical specialties; from pediatric to geriatrics, chronic disease maintenance, and emergency treatment.
